Introducing solids...

Recently, we started to introduce solids into Asher's diet. I was a little skeptical at first to hold off until he was six months old, but after talking with his doctor he suggested that it might help his reflux... And it does! Since we have started introducing solids we have noticed less spit ups throughout the day and he seems to be happier! I always nurse him before a solid feeding to make sure he is getting all the goods from the breast milk... and to keep my supply up. I have made a few purees, but the organic fruits and veggie selection where I live is slim pickens right now. I am in love with the selection Ella's Kitchen has available for babies who are four months and older. Asher really enjoys these as well... you can tell from the pictures... I usually keep him as clean as I can while he eats, but I stepped into the kitchen to grab a towel and left the bowl on the highchair.... He decided to take matters in his own hands and this is what I returned to! Silly boy! Im glad he is interested in his food. 

Im going to try out a few purees this weekend if the farmers market has good organic items available. I will post the recipes on here as well.... that is if they aren't a total nightmare!
