Clek Foonf... The Mother of all Car Seats!!

If you in the market for an amazing sleek, modern, and safe convertible car seat the Clek Foonf is the way to go. This seat is everything and more! I'm so honored to be able to share my thoughts and opinions on this amazing piece of gear with you!

One of my biggest worries as a mama is car seat safety. Car seats reduce the risk of deaths in infants  (one year and under) by 76% and in toddlers (1-4 years) by 54%. If you think about it, that's huge! The Clek Foonf is one of the top convertible car seats on the market! With its best in class safety features, sleek and modern look, this seat is a must have.

What sets the Foonf apart from other carseats is unique style and features. We were using the Evenflo Triumph with Asher prior to switching to this seat and I'm almost embarrassed that we used it as long as we did. The Foonf seriously puts the Triumph to shame in a number of ways. I totally understand why this car seat is the Mother of all car seats!

Overall Aesthetic: I adore the style of this seat. It is modern, compact, and comes in array of colors/styles... 15 to be exact. We went with "blue moon". I drive a Jeep Patriot, which is on the smaller size for an SUV and this seat fits extremely well in my vehicle, forward and rear facing. The seat itself is heavy, but it is not bulky and doesn't take up the entire backseat of my car like some car seats do.

Weight Limits: The weight limits on this seat go up to 50lbs rear facing and 65lbs forward facing. The seat is recommend for use (rear facing) when children are 14lbs and able to sit upright without any assistance... The large weight range makes for lots of use out of the seat. A huge perk!

Installation: I found the seat quite easy to install. The instruction manual that comes with the seat is easy to read, very straight forward, and tells you everything you need to know about the seat. We installed the car seat in about 30 minutes with no issues.

Forward/Rear Facing:

-Rear Facing (Height: 25-43in, Weight: 14-50lbs): The extended rear facing option for this seat is amazing. The seat sets on a base and has an opening where you install the seat belt, which makes for an easy installation. The seat also has an anti-rebound bar giving it a snug installation. I have no doubt that this seat isn't going anywhere in a collision. You can see the seat rear facing here

-Forward Facing (Height: 30-49in, Weight: 25-65lbs): We chose to install the seat forward facing because Asher is over the age of one, 30lbs, and a little over 31in tall, meeting the AAP requirements for forward facing in this seat. The seat has 2 forward facing position options and we decided to go with option #2. This option places Asher a slightly reclined position, but yet it is still safe. The seat also has the Revolutionary REACT Safety System which prevents the child from forceful movement in a collision. You can read more about the Revolutionary REACT system here

Rigid-LATCH Forward Facing Installation: My favorite thing about this seat is the Rigid-LATCH FF installation. Instead of having basic straps and a hole to place a seatbelt through, this seat has steel latches that connect to the seat of your vehicle, an incredibly secure seatbelt installation system, and a rear strap that connects to the back portion of your vehicle.

Here are a few pictures of the installation process and Rigid-LATCH FF Installation.

Steel rods instead of basic straps that connect to your seat. When they are properly installed the "green" circle is indicated.
Forward facing seatbelt system. Also notice the steel bars on the back of the seat.

The red piece of the seat is a locking mechanism for the cars seatbelt... making the seat belt hold the car seat firmly and stay in place.
Rear attachment for forward facing. Holding the top most portion of the seat into place. Therefore, you have the steel clamps, the cars seatbelt, and the top rear strap securing the seat in place. This is seriously such an extremely safe installation and hands down the best I have ever seen.

Comfort: The Foonf is an extremely comfortable seat. The Greenguard certified material is soft, cool, and stain/odor resistant. Some car seat materials are hot and this seat does not get hot on warm days in my car. The large structural headrest functions as a safe place for Asher to rest his head and also a safety barrier in a side impact collision. The headrest is also adjustable, so as your little one grows you can adjust it to the required position for your little ones height.

Quality: Overall the quality of this seat is amazing. It's made from a heavy steel that does make the seat slightly on the heavy side, but it also makes for extremely safe car seat. It's compact, functional, sleek, and perfect! I seriously have no negative things to say about this seat!

Investment: The price of the seat is slightly on the expensive side, but with all the safety features it is well worth it. You will not find any other seat on the market as well made as the Clek Foonf.  And since the seat has a longer usage period than most convertible car seats it will save you in the long run. Overall Asher and I both are in love with the Clek Foonf and would highly recommend it to any of you! I love all the amazing safety features and he loves the fact that he sits up higher in the vehicle and is comfortable on long trips. I seriously have nothing negative to say about this seat! Now, when we are traveling in the car I feel reassured and safe with the Clek Foonf!
